The configuration of your dialler depends on whether you have a fixed or dynamic IP address
Fixed IP Address
- Make sure the IP address you use has been added to your IPTransit account. If you did not add this address while setting up your account, then add this IP address at the Access Methods area of IPTransit, the online account management system.
- Configure your equipment to send all telephone calls to a gateway. The gateway IP address is gateway.transcom.net If possible, we recommend that you use this DNS name.
Dynamic IP Address
- Make sure that your IPTransit account has been configured for dynamic IP addresses.If you did not do this while setting up your account, then set this option now at the Access Methods area of Transcom,the online account management system.
- Configure your equipment to send all telephone calls to a gatekeeper. The gatekeeper IP address is 213.228.232.116. If possible, we recommend that you use the DNS name gatekeeper.transcom.net
- Configure your equipment to register at the gatekeeper using an E164 alias (telephone number) or an H.323 alias.The alias address should be 1822 followed by your IPTransit account number followed by your IPTransit password (emailed to you when you set up your account). For example, if your account number is 200100 and your password is 900100, set the E164 alias to be 1822200100900100.
The codecs we support are G.723.1 and G.729. You should enable both Fast Start and H.245 tunnelling. You should configure your equipment to send DTMF digits using UserInputIndication messages through an H.245 tunnel.
We support fax calls to most worldwide destinations. To send faxes, your gateway must be T.38 compatible.
